If it weren't so inexpensive, this might be a questionable purchase--after all, tic tac toe is traditionally played on paper (or carved into a park bench or prison wall by less responsible types). But then again, those still entertained by this classic game don't always display the best penmanship skills. And, hey, it's pretty fun to plop down big, 2-inch-high X's onto a bright red board. The game set comes with five O's, five X's, a 9.5-inch-square cardboard play surface, and--as if you need them--instructions. --Paul Hughes
